Anthony David

Anthony David is a historian, translator, and author of nine books, most recently Friendly Fire: How Israel Became Its Own Worst Enemy and Its Hope for the Future, which he wrote with Ami Ayalon, the former director of the Israeli Shin Bet. His writing has appeared in Ploughshares, The Massachusetts Review, American Historical Review, Tablet, The Forward, and elsewhere. He is currently finishing up a biography of Hermann Keller, a German Benedictine monk who was a key member of the conspiracy to kill Hitler.
