David Crump

David Crump was born into a military home in Hollywood, CA. Moving almost annually exposed David to the many different faces of American life. He received a B.S degree (’76) in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana, in Missoula; an M.Div. degree (’85) from Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., Canada; and his Ph.D. (’88) in New Testament from King’s College, University of Aberdeen, Scotland. David worked for Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship (’77-’81) in Salt Lake City and eventually became the pastor of Mountain Springs Community Church (’88-’97). David then moved to Grand Rapids, MI in order to become a professor of New Testament at Calvin College, where he taught for 18 years. He blogs regularly at HumanityRenewed.com. David is now retired and living in NW Montana where he indulges his passions for falconry and riding his custom Harley-Davidson chopper as fast as the speed limit allows.
