Marshall Surratt

Marshall Surratt taught journalism for eleven years at the University of North Texas, where he was the first Mayborn Fellow and his particular interest was the intersection of media and religion. Before that, he was a newspaper and magazine writer and editor. Articles and reviews of his have appeared in Christian Century, Christianity & Crisis, Journal of Mass Media Ethics (now Journal of Media Ethics), The Doctor T. J. Eckleburg Review, Papers on Language & Literature, and Dallas Morning News, as well as other publications. Over the years, he has committed himself to writing about or photographing people and groups who have sought to go beyond partisan politics to make a difference. Some of that work can be seen at www.iconometry.net.
