Richard Lopez

Richard Lopez is an assistant professor of neuroscience and psychology in the Department of Social Science and Policy Studies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts. With the aim of enhancing health and well-being, Lopez and his students utilize tools in modern neuroscience (e.g., fNIRS, fMRI) and longitudinal modelling of behaviour to better understand how human beings align their emotions with values and goals they are pursuing. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his family, serving in his local church, running, and hiking.
