Arlissa Vaughn

Arlissa Vaughn is a professional artist working in acrylic paint and the emerging genre of new media. Her art blends traditional and experimental techniques and mediums to result in visually stimulating mixed media paintings that are reminiscent of the Surrealist and Abstract Expressionist movements. Incorporating rich textures, delicately layered colors, and abstracted imagery, her artwork invites viewers to ponder the sacred and the secular.

Arlissa obtained a BFA from East Carolina University in 2005, and has since been creating art regularly. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally, been artist-in-residence in Hungary and NYC, and is the founder and editor of Visual Overture Magazine. She currently resides in Southern California.
