Joel Carpenter

Joel Carpenter works at Calvin College, where he directs the Nagel Institute for the Study of World Christianity. His latest book is Walking Together: Christian Thinking and Public Life in South Africa (ACU Press, 2012). Last year he organized a team of U.S., Canadian, and Chinese scholars which met in China to consider the relationships between religion, social change, and the rule of law.
