Ken Godevenos

Ken Godevenos is President of Accord Resolution Services Inc. He started his career as a Teacher and Counselor before joining one of Canada’s major utilities (Ont. Hydro), where he gained varied HR experience as Staffing Specialist, Labour Relations Officer, Manager of Organization Analysis and Job Evaluation, Project Manager—HR Planning and Integration, Acting Manager—Corporate Staffing, Manager Compensation, and Manager Corporate Compensation and Benefits Services. He has also been Director, Compensation and Benefits for Rogers Communications Inc. In 1988, Ken was seconded for 2 years by the Ontario Government to serve as Director of Policy and Research for the Ontario Pay Equity Commission.

Ken is also well known as a speaker, facilitator and seminar leader. He is an active member of WorldatWork, having served as Canadian President, American Board Director, and Chairman of the International Committee. He has served on the Board of Directors for: the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario; Gideons International in Canada; and Hepcoe Credit Union Limited (now Meridian CU). In addition, he has been a member of the Employers’ Committee on Health Care in Ontario (ECHCO). Ken’s previous experience also includes that of a fact-finder and mediator for the Education Relations Commission of Ontario.

Ken received a B.A. in Psychology, a B.Ed. in Counseling, and an M.B.A., all from the University of Toronto. He has earned the C.C.P. (Certified Compensation Professional) and C.H.R.P. (Certified Human Resources Professional) designations.

Ken currently also serves as:

  • President of SCA International, a Canadian Christian Mission, responsible for staff and volunteers working across the country both independently and from four year-round Ministry Centres, and working primarily with Aboriginal Peoples in Canada.
  • Director of ICC International, another Canada Mission focusing on both Christian literature and the equipping of others in third world countries. This year Ken and his wife took their second trip to Kenya for ministry and service.
  • Author of Human Resources for the Church: Applying Corporate Principles in Spiritual Settings, a 432 page handbook for Pastors, Executive Pastors, as well as Church Board- and HR Committee- members. The book was published and is available through EssencePublishers or from SCA International.

Through Accord Resolution Services Inc., Ken and his associates provide services to an ever-increasing number of clients in industries including those related to retail, insurance, health care, not-for-profit, public sector, hospitality, high-tech, and communications, along with a growing practice with non-profits, and especially faith-based organizations.
