Mark Meehan

Mark Meehan has been serving in Christian higher education for over 15 years. He spent the first ten years at Columbia International University, serving in a variety of academic and administrative roles, including faculty member, Assistant Dean of the College, Associate Dean of Extension Education, and Vice President of Institutional Advancement.

Mark then served as the President of Somerset Christian College, where he had been for five years. He and his team launched a unique college program focused on training entrepreneurial leadership for ministry. He currently serves as the Dean of the School of Business at Nyack College, splitting his time between Nyack’s two campuses in Rockland County and Manhattan. Mark has done consulting and teaching in the Middle East, Asia, South America, Africa and Europe. He and his wife, Leticia, will soon celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary. They have two wonderful daughters, Sarah (16) and Lydia (13).

While the thirst for profit has overshadowed beauty and truth in business, we cannot deny the still-present reflection of the Creator. Let's not cheapen business into being only a means to the end of ministry.

Q&A with Mark Meehan, Dean of the Nyack School of Business

First, I walk with God and grow in my relationship with him. As I do that, he has wired me to help a lot of very different groups of people by getting to know them and what they hope to do in the world, then helping them reach their goals. Typically, I help them reach their goals through mentoring, teaching, and serving in a leadership role.
