Nicora Gangi: Born in Indiana and educated at the Hartford Art School(Hartford Connecticut) Montclair State College and Syracuse University(BFA 1974 and MFA 1976). Married to Bruce Manwaring and resides in Syracuse, N Y.

Featured artist in American Artist magazine(2003). Awarded the Grand Prize (2005) in The Pastel Journal. Featured artist in International Artist magazine (2006). Published in Pure Color (Spring 2006), and Finding Your Visual Voice (February 2007). Awarded the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award (summer 2006). Published work on book jackets by Crown & Covenant Press and Shepherd Press (2007) Recently published in Discipleship Journal July/August 2008. Lecturing regionally and nationally as a visiting artist at colleges and universities and artist’s guilds on such varied topics as, “Spiritual Symbolism in Art” and “Personal Expression Through The Pastel Medium.”
