Sean Purcell

Sean Purcell currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his wife and five year old daughter. Sean employs his creativity and love of ideas for the CCO, a campus ministry based in Pittsburgh. His contributions to campus ministry rely heavily on the insights of Calvin Seerveld, whose work also figures prominently in Sean’s dissertation (in progress) which explores the imagination and its place in human functioning. Sean’s interest in the imagination influences his studies and his work as an experiential educator with the CCO, where he continues to explore creative ways of communicating the Kuyperian tradition to both staff and students. Ultimately, he hopes to provoke both college students and professionals to have a richer glimpse of what it means to live in God’s world.

Whether he is telemark skiing, doodling, or playing Playmobil (with his daughter of course) he hopes people are invited to experience that piece of life in a way that they can “hear” it declaring the Glory of the Lord.

Sketches of Flourishing

Today, Comment breaks new ground: a playful distillation of the philosopher Herman Dooyeweerd's work, in cartoon form. The dense is made clear.
