Willem De Ruijter

Willem de Ruijter is a research intern at Cardus where he works on the Stained Glass Urbanism research project. Currently he is finishing his undergraduate degree in Sociology and Political Science at Redeemer University College.

His research interests include the role of the church in urban life, urban planning and development, the attitude of the church in the context of a postmodern society, and most other thing related to the urban environment such as design, architecture, sustainability, and art. Hamilton, Ontario which he calls home has sparked this passion and continues to do so. Questions of justice, culture, and design are among his other interests. Occasionally you will be able to find him knitting, playing soccer or squash, reading, or (dreaming of) traveling to exciting places.
