“Healing Waters” is one of several pieces from my senior student exhibition at Redeemer University College, 2007. The show, “Marked Places” visually documented various places along my spiritual journey. This piece rested in the middle of other charcoals exhibiting such things as affliction and numbness, to overflowing blessings and praise. All of these emotions and places we find ourselves in are part of the breaking down and building up that we go through to become the people God had created us to be. This sculpting can be a painful process, but the healing waters that Christ washes our feet with is a promise that we will again be made whole in His perfect power.
