Plaster, glass, resin, steel, monofilament
2009
“Love Letter” is an installation composed of a slumped glass water-ripple design slightly raised above a plaster water-ripple design. One-hundred plaster leaves float above this relief panel, suspended by clear strands of monofilament.
This sculpture is a letter I have written, just in an unconventional form of three dimensions. Floating leaves are words. Shadows cast above are silhouetted swallows with music of feathers. The leaves ascend and descend above the surface of the water, with clear ripples that reverberate and disintegrate into each other.
