ABOUT
In the hallway between Comment’s series on social change and our upcoming issue on gender lies a door with a curious sign: “spiritual motherhood.” You may recall that in our spring issue, husband-and-wife duo Josh and Chelsea Bombino wrote a piece on this topic, followed by an in-depth podcast conversation. Well, both inspired unusual levels of intrigue from readers. So we’d like to respond by diving in to this attempt at a new paradigm for thinking and designing effective “seedbeds” with Chelsea and interlocutor Laura Fabrycky, whose own masterful essay in the latest issue, “The Birds and the Beguines,” dialogues powerfully with the Bombinos’ paradigm.
Please consider joining Anne Snyder live on Wednesday, June 28, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. EDT as she moderates a public conversation between Chelsea and Laura on the power of hiddenness, motherhood, civic housekeeping, and political love.
We also encourage your active participation in the conversation by submitting questions for Chelsea and Laura to answer. Simply send us your questions ahead of the event, and we will do our best to address them during the discussion.
