. . . Cardus Senior Fellow Jonathan Chaplin recommends the Theos think tank: “Launched in London in 2006, Theos has already become one of the most interesting and creative contributors to the debate about faith and politics in the UK. A ‘public theology think tank,’ Theos produces high quality research and publications, stages influential events, and attracts considerable coverage in the religious and secular media.” It turns out that Dr. Chaplin’s report Talking God: The Legitimacy of Religious Public Reasoning is available as a free download from Theos. Dr. Chaplin was also author of the 2008 Kuyper Lecture of the Center for Public Justice, and his lecture on “The Future of Christian-democratic Politics” is also available as a free download from the Center.

The cover artist for the December 2008 print issue of Comment, Gerald Folkerts, who is terminally ill, was honoured by friends and family with an exhibition of his work last month in Winnipeg, MB. The closing ceremony for the exhibition is available online, including prayers and a benediction by Jamie Howison, music by Steve Bell, and a psalm reading and reflection by Comment friend and mentor, Calvin Seerveld.
