In “A Christian Vision for Nation-Building,” he will explore the meaning and limitations of the traditional concept of nation-building, which is focused on building political and economic institutions. For readers in the Toronto area, Comment artist Sarah Hall will be lecturing Wednesday, April 15 on “The Language of Stained Glass.” The first part of her illustrated talk will be devoted to a historical overview of stained glass. The second section will trace her own journey in light, image & colour—ending with new projects which generate solar energy. This talk is the annual Christianity & the Arts lecture at St. Michael’s College, in the University of Toronto. The event is free, open to the public, with a reception following. Finally, for readers in the New York area, Comment artist Jennifer Buell‘s new project Through the Eyes of Hope—a non-profit teaching children the art of photography both in Africa and the Bronx—will stage an exhibit featuring their students’ work.
