In 1955, Francis and Edith Schaeffer opened their Alpine home in Huémoz, Switzerland, to anyone who came to them with questions about faith, philosophy, art, or meaning. Conversations unfolded over meals and walks and shared labor, without appointment and without fee. The community they built has continued in that form of open hospitality for seven decades, on multiple continents, still welcoming the seeker and the skeptic alike.
“Honest answers to honest questions.”
— FRANCIS SCHAEFFER
