Christian Wiman

Christian Wiman is the author, editor, or translator of fifteen books including, most recently, Zero at the Bone:  Fifty Entries Against Despair.  His collection of letters with Miroslav Volf, Glimmerings, was published in January 2026. From 2003 until 2013 he was the editor of Poetry magazine, the premiere magazine for poetry in the English-speaking world. Wiman has written for The New Yorker, the New York Times Book Review, Harper’s, and numerous other publications. He is a former Guggenheim Fellow and holds two honourary doctorates.
