Fr. Francis Bethel

Fr. Francis Bethel is prior, master of studies, teacher of dogmatic theology, and oblate master at Our Lady of Clear Creek Abbey. Born in Wichita, Kansas, Fr. Bethel studied at the University of Kansas in the Integrated Humanities Program under John Senior, Dennis Quinn, and Franklyn Nelick. He became a Benedictine monk at the French abbey Notre Dame de Fontgombault in 1975 and was sent as a founder to Clear Creek Abbey in 1999, where he gives regular talks and spiritual direction to guests of the monastery. He is the author of John Senior and the Restoration of Realism.
