John Wood Jr.

John Randolph Wood Jr. is a writer, public intellectual, community advocate, and former nominee for congress from Los Angeles, California, whose work has focused on creating dialogue and understanding between polarized communities. He is a noted public speaker, having appeared at events as wide-ranging as CPAC 2019 and the Global Philanthropy Forum; he has been published in QuilletteReal Clear Policy, and Reflections (a journal of the Yale Divinity School), and is a national spokesperson for Better Angels. By hobby John is also a singer, trumpet player, and rapper. He is known to listen to the same song on repeat long after anyone else would have stopped, and is currently in the process of making his wife and three children sick of the musical Hamilton.
