Rudzani Muloiwa

Rudzani Muloiwa was born in a rural village in the northern parts of South Africa, and brought up by people more reformed Calvinistic than John Calvin. He recently married his bride Ngina, and currently works where Ngina studies—as a consultant emergency paediatrician in Cape Town (Red Cross War Memorial Children’s hospital).

It is usually a struggle for each of them to be in Cape Town, as the city gives one a feeling of not being in Africa (which is where they want to be). They make up for this by travelling through the continent whenever they can. Rudzani is the current Area Student Rep for the International Christian Medical & Dental Association covering Southern Africa, a job involving visiting Christian medical students across Southern Africa.

Rudzani will take some time off his regular work early in 2012 to concentrate on completing a long overdue Ph.D. He hopes this will also give him time to live again and pursue other interests out of medicine. Photography used to be his passion, but he has done very little of it over the last two years because of work commitments.
